Talking (Whistle-Singing really) with song birds!!
.. A real chat with neighbors, in their language!!
.. I’ve often had the great good luck to live among song birds.
.. But conversing was a rare treat for me, one of the divine electric thrills treasured at the peak of Holy Prayer in summer woods, my song sometimes a screeching upward cry echoed by distant cries.
….. But now me old in woods that are dying as Our Mother Nature dying,
….. My Bird Name Whistle now expresses “COME TO THIS GARDEN”, that is my name, where I sit, walk, dance to exercise my bones, all in contemplation, mustering forces. An initial conference has been held in the forest verge.
….. A sacred habit has grown to constant pleasure for me, a fountain of exquisite joy.
I can tell you how it’s done.
It is so shockingly easy, first time you try Nature’s Listen-Try-Learn Method of trusting Human Nature. Till then you’re unknowing you were born knowing birdsong.
.. There’s a science theory.. Our far distant parents shaped our nature in lands in times that were flooded with birdsong.
.. Easy understanding amazing fact Human Ears and Mouth are born with same ranges of beat speed and pitch as the song birds!!
.. Easy believing that our love of the violin’s stretching rise, which can break your heart somehow, for example,
.. And our love of the throbbing cello’s deep rejoicing,
….. Those mental sensations are poignant loves of theirs too,
….. Such are their parts of speech, noun-verbs in the Declarations, Questions, Answers Bird Speak weaves so fast.
To understand, feel Human deeply, find the birds’ vocabulary like strokes of a quick fiddler’s bow, in you. Choose and think these into meaning.
.. Imitate human words if you wish, like violins and whistles can.
.. You must dare to imitate your visitors at first, practicing movements of human lungs, jaw, tongue, lips, like learning ways to kiss, as they come and go declaring their names.
.. Some will note you imitating their name and come closer.
.. But very soon compose and declare your Bird Name. Make it something you can sing with conviction.
Observe practical conversation rules..
.. First, essential with such quick beings.. Do not babble pointlessly. Foundation of courtesy anyway. Must say stuff they want to know!! What?? EASY!!
….. “I Am A Flightless Harmless Song Bird Or Some Equivalent.”
….. They want to know that!!!!
….. Put that in your Bird Name, learn to feel yourself as that, don’t make sudden movements, and it might be the only message you ever need to say!!
.. I have tried more complex messaging last summer’s end..
….. The Garden’s ripening crop of raspberries I have conveniently hung up for the birds, rasp-berry, a dense thorny thicket, by hemp string, requiring naked human hands, on a fence wild-espaliered dutifully all summer,
….. The Opened Thicket’s raspberries and small green bugs, they cropped abundantly last year.
….. Berries exactly pre-ripe, Autumn, I must call out this friendly loving benefit to the stirring forest. With good results I tried Complex Birdsong Messaging. In the Garden, I tuned my vocal apparatus up and quickly found an excited short high double step-up trill of “raz-ber-eez-bugs” which I began appending to my Name, which I then cried clear and often in toward Forest Center till I saw the berries all gone, clear past First Snow.
….. Meanwhile I saw one afternoon a little Parent bird and Child flit down, a nice open spot on the wire fence, and Parent is plucking, stuffing berries in the open mouth till Child shuts their mouth and both flit off, Autumn.
Nowadays my little Bird Name Dance,
.. A valuable thing which I hope you have When..
….. WHEN you see your conversant IN SIGHT and STARING AT YOU,
….. Then your personal little Name Dance should immediately follow doing your Bird Name Whistle to verify your claimed Id., it should.
.. But my little Name Dance nowadays is a little 2 or 3 heartbeat mock of my trancing dance I do to exercise my bones,
….. So my good neighbors won’t be shocked awake, me out there doing that all hours of day and night.
So you should rehearse your own little 2- or 3-heartbeat-long Bird Name Dance.
